Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Enterprise Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Support will be responsible for overseeing the global strategy, management, and delivery of sustainable IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations across the organization. This role will also lead the strategic ownership of Global IT Support, ensuring seamless follow-the-sun support across US, EMEA, and APAC regions. With a focus on strengthening cybersecurity resilience, system hardening, and redundancy for critical systems, the director will drive initiatives to enhance the IT infrastructure team’s capabilities while managing the infrastructure and security technology roadmaps. The position will work closely with the VP of Global IT and other IT directors to align infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies with business objectives, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure operations globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Global IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and execute the global strategy for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices to support sustainable, secure, and scalable infrastructure across all regions (US, LATAM, EMEA, APAC).
  • Leadership of Enterprise IT Support: Take strategic ownership of Global IT Support, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality support services across multiple global sites with a follow-the-sun support model. Provide leadership and guidance to teams in the US, EMEA, and other regions.
  • Cybersecurity Resilience and Risk Management: Drive initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity resilience, focusing on threat prevention, detection, and response. Utilize Crowdstrike for endpoint protection, Cisco Global Protect VPN for secure remote access, and Palo Alto firewalls for perimeter security.
  • System Hardening and Redundancy: Lead efforts to enhance system hardening, improve security controls, and implement redundancy strategies for critical systems and IT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Technology Roadmap Management: Manage the development and execution of the cybersecurity and infrastructure technology roadmap for the next 3-5 years, focusing on system enhancements, new technology adoption, and long-term sustainability of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity measures.
  • Global Team Development and Leadership: Oversee the development and strengthening of the IT infrastructure team, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and training to support current and future technologies. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill maturity.
  • Vendor Management and Third-Party Collaborations: Manage relationships with external vendors, including 24/7 Security Operations Centers (SOC) and virtual Chief Information Security Officers (vCISO), to enhance the organization’s security monitoring, threat management, and incident response capabilities.
  • Enterprise IT Support and Service Management: Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining best practices for global IT support, including incident management, service level agreements (SLAs), and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high levels of user satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure the organization’s infrastructure and cybersecurity operations comply with relevant industry regulations, including GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and others. Establish and enforce policies and procedures for data security and compliance management.
  • Incident Response and Crisis Management: Lead the response to critical security breaches, IT incidents, or service outages, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to minimize damage, restore services, and strengthen security posture.
  • Collaboration with IT Leadership: Work directly with the VP of Global IT and other IT directors to align infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies with overall business priorities. Provide strategic insights and guidance for achieving IT and business objectives, and deliver successful digital transformation in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage the budgeting process for global IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Oversee both Opex and Capex spending, balancing cost optimization with the need to invest in critical infrastructure and security enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: 10 years in IT leadership roles with proven experience in managing global IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations, including the future strategic ownership of Global IT Support for a large, distributed organization with follow-the-sun support across multiple regions (US, EMEA, LATAM, APAC).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of key technologies such as Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, WAN, Crowdstrike, Cisco Global Protect VPN, and working with external 24/7 Security Operations Centers (SOC) and vCISO services to enhance cybersecurity resilience.
  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Strategy: Experience in leading cybersecurity initiatives, including system hardening, redundancy for critical systems, and disaster recovery, with a focus on driving long-term security strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Strong experience in managing external vendors and stakeholders, particularly in a complex global environment, collaborating with the VP of Global IT and other IT directors to align infrastructure and security strategies with business goals.
  • Technology Roadmap and Team Development: Proven ability to manage the technology roadmap for infrastructure and cybersecurity, with a track record of building and maturing IT infrastructure teams, ensuring skill development and operational excellence across regions.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MS in Cybersecurity, or Information Systems) is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ITIL are a plus.

Additional skills: 

  • Network Management and Security Tools: Expertise with implementation and strategic oversight of network and system management, performance tracking and optimization platforms.
  • Network Operating Systems: Experience with the successful leadership of an enterprise network infrastructure environment that is aligned with business needs, globally.
  • WAN and Remote Access Solutions: Experience with strategic leadership of SD-WAN, site-to-site VPNs, and user remote access VPNs.
  • Quality of Service (QoS): Strong understanding and implementation of best-practice QoS configurations on routers and switches.
  • High-Performance and Redundant Architectures: Proven ability to lead the design and implementation of resilient, secure, and best-practice network and system architectures for global operations.
  • Cybersecurity Strategy: Proven expertise in cybersecurity resilience, system hardening, and redundancy for critical systems, ensuring compliance, business continuity, and robust incident response.
  • On-Premise and Cloud Infrastructure: Extensive experience leading on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual server environments, cloud-based disaster recovery, and multi-site backup and retention strategies to ensure data protection and uptime.

 **This is a hybrid position reporting to our corporate headquarters in Kennesaw, GA 2-3 days per week**
