Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Embedded Software Development and Test Engineer to develop, modify, test, and document embedded software requirements for military upgrade development programs. This role involves managing and communicating requirements to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embedded Software Development: Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate embedded software for avionics systems.
- Green Hills Multi Environment: Utilize the Green Hills Multi development environment to develop, compile, link, and test software modules on avionics embedded computer systems.
- Testing Tools: Employ static and dynamic testing tools; knowledge of PC Lint, LDRA TestBed, and VectorCast is preferred.
- Requirements Management: Break down system requirements into software requirements and associated tests, ensuring compliance with the software development lifecycle.
- DOORS Familiarity: Prefer familiarity with DOORS for linking requirements to test procedures.
- Programming Languages: Demonstrate working knowledge of multiple software development languages, preferably C, C , C#, and Python.
- Integration Projects: Plan, support, and manage integration projects to meet customer requirements, collaborating closely with other functional disciplines.
- Design Improvements: Suggest design improvements and spiral opportunities to enhance integrated weapon system capabilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively to coordinate across multiple organizations and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Aerospace Familiarity: Familiarity with military aerospace design and certification processes, including requirements development and verification, is preferred.
- PC Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
