Required Skills & Experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side.
- Expertise in Mavenir SMSC, and MMSC product solutions.
- Strong knowledge of one or more Core Network solutions for 911, LI (CALEA), Nokia SDL, and Oracle nodes (NRF, PCF, BSF).
- Knowledge of Edge, RAN, Transport, Virtual/Cloud environments, orchestration, and FCAPS platforms.
- Cloud-native experience in AWS environment preferred.
- Curious-minded, striving for continuous learning and innovation.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Core Network solutions for 4G/5G (SA).
- Nokia, Mavenir, and Oracle experience should be an advantage.
- Ability to analyze a high volume of technical data and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Provide technical troubleshooting expertise in resolving incidents escalated to your organization.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Messaging (SMS and MMS) and Voicemail solutions; Mavenir product expertise is preferred.
- Handle outages and service degradations, perform initial root cause analysis (RCA), and coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to compose the final RCA.
- Lead troubleshooting bridges with internal and vendor teams as needed.
- Engage and escalate issues with Core Tier III/Engineering teams when critical, time-sensitive support and resolution are needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams to document troubleshooting steps and methods to improve processes.
- Provide lead support with Market Teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Develop key metrics for performance monitoring and service assurance.
- Work closely with vendors for incident resolution and RCA.
- Knowledge of SA Core, Edge, RAN, Transport, Virtual/Cloud environments, orchestration, and FCAPS platforms.
- Work on the 5G Standalone Core Network functions (NRF, BSF, NSSF, SEPP, NEF, SCP & PCF), IMS, and Messaging domains.
- Engage with the engineering teams from DISH and vendors in helping triage and debug complex network activities.
- Collaborate with performance engineering teams and NOC to establish and continuously enhance baseline KPIs required to measure the health of the network.
- Engage and escalate issues with the Tier II & III teams when critical/time-sensitive support and resolution are needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position may provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
