We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Performance Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and scalability of our applications, with a specific focus on mainframe systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance tests using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts and frameworks using Groovy scripting.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand application architecture and infrastructure.
- Monitor application performance in production and proactively address issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest performance testing tools and techniques.
- Work with mainframe systems, understanding their performance characteristics and bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot message queue systems (MQ) and identify performance issues.
- 5 years of experience in performance engineering and testing.
- Strong proficiency in JMeter and Groovy scripting.
- Experience with mainframe systems and their performance characteristics.
- Familiarity with MQ depth monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning (DB2, SQL).
- Understanding of application performance monitoring tools (APM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with other performance testing tools like LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
