Position Summary

Featuring a 300 seat theater, art gallery, community event space, and library, it’s where creativity comes to life! As SBCC Manager, you’ll coordinate venue operations, oversee community rental events, manage ticketing, contracts, and schedules, and ensure a seamless experience for performers and guests. You’ll also maintain the facility, working with contractors to keep it in top shape. Plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the South Broadway Cultural Center, under the auspices of the Arts & Culture Department including: manage and promote usage of the facility, its contracts, staff, security, technical crews and maintenance; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Division Manager and to the Department Director.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in theater, fine arts, business administration, event management, or a related field; and
Five (5) years' experience in theater management, venue/facility operations, cultural events operations or community services operation; and
To include two (2) years supervisory experience.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain within ninety (90) days from date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
May work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
