ABOUT US

Arts in Action Community Charter School opened in Fall 2011 with grades K-5. The elementary program aims to provide a rigorous academic foundation while developing the whole child through a rich arts program, a daily socio-emotional learning component, and modeling advocacy through social justice initiatives.  

Arts in Action Community Middle School opened in Fall 2016 and serves students in grades 6-8. We believe that all students deserve access to the arts.  We believe that instruction should be culturally relevant, inclusive and meet the diverse needs of all learners.  We believe social justice is integral to education and aim to teach students how to advocate for themselves, our community, and the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Information Technology Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Director of Operations and the organization and upholds Arts in Action’s mission, vision, and values. Opportunities for promotion to Information Technology Manager position (depending on experience, skills, performance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support with network issues and minimizing network downtime
  • Support with Student Chromebook technology and repairs
  • Support Staff IT computer needs and repairs
  • Assist with planning and scheduling for IT maintenance 
  • Maintain printing capabilities
  • Support with the management of technology, licensing, Jamf, Apple School Manager, Go Guardian, and Google Suite/student and Staff email accounts.
  • Support with in-service IT training for school staff
  • Work closely with IT vendors and support staff to ensure staff and students are well-equipped and supported
  • Help assist as needed in the management of facilities, grounds, and maintenance; custodial services; school activities and events, and transportation services.
  • Confers with school leadership and site personnel and others regarding initiatives and programming. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or designated supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong ability to execute work with a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including Board members, senior executives, staff, community leaders, donors, and funded partners. 
  • Proficiency with Google, Microsoft Office, Student Information Systems 
  • Ability to learn quickly and willingness to be trained on IT tasks
  • Ability to make appropriate, informed decisions regarding priorities and available time. 
  • Able to maintain high integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Excellent judgment is essential. 

WAGE AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time, 12-month hourly position starting at $25 - $35 hourly. Compensation is determined based on experience and education units; a competitive benefit package is included.
