Position Overview:
ARTSPACE at Untitled is seeking a motivated, dynamic and tech-savvy professional to manage community outreach, marketing, communications, and office operational assistance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth development, education, visual arts, and sharing ARTSPACE's mission with the community. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with various workflow technologies such as Basecamp etc. The Marketing & Communications Manager will work closely with the Executive/Creative Director, Education and Programs Manager, Bookkeeper, Mentors, Board of Trustees, and other team members to streamline workflows and enhance organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing and Communications
· Generate, implement, and execute ARTSPACE’s strategic marketing and advertising plans.
· Manage and update ARTSPACE's established visual brand across all platforms.
· Build and oversee the production of marketing materials such as invitations, posters, exhibition signage, and newsletters.
· Manage ARTSPACE’s website, ensuring all copy and design are up to date.
· Create and distribute monthly newsletters via Mailchimp and maintain an updated mailing list.
· Coordinate media opportunities, including press releases and advertisements.
· Schedule event coverage and manage event listings across art and community calendars.
· Compile and distribute press packages, attend Public Relations meetings, and archive media coverage of ARTSPACE.
· Oversee all social media platforms, scheduling posts, tracking engagement, and analyzing outreach statistics.
· Collaborate with staff, board members, and committees to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
· Present weekly reports on social media and website traffic analytics to staff.
· Manage ARTSPACE’s donor list and communications.
· Coordinate with vendors for ARTSPACE promotional materials.
Operations & IT Support
· Assist with IT tasks, including software updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
· Assist Executive Director in the implementation of strategic plan and mission.
· Attend weekly staff meetings.
· Help manage the inventory of print-related materials.
· Support the Executive Director in the execution of annual ARTSPACE fundraising events.
Budget & Strategic Planning
· Manage the Marketing & Communications budget, tracking spending and reporting to the Executive Director and Bookkeeper.
Qualifications:
· Preferred, but not required is a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, arts administration, public relations, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
· Experience in marketing, communications, and design, ideally within the non-profit sector.
· Experience with electronic mail distribution services (Mailchimp).
· Strong multitasking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with Macintosh/Apple systems.
· Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends for events and fundraisers.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
· Previous management experience.
· Familiarity with Google Analytics.
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
· Familiarity with contemporary art and non-profit organizations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary, $50,000.00
This is a Full-time, in person position
Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrues monthly, totaling 12 days per year, plus Thanksgiving (3 days) and December 24 through New Year’s Day.
Full use of studio facilities and equipment, contingent on prior knowledge or experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday: 10 AM–6 PM during summer, 9 AM–5 PM during winter.
Occasional Thursday evenings for programming, with end time typically at 8 PM.
Flexibility for weekend and evening events; compensated through flextime, approved by the Executive Directo
