ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public school near Asheville, NC, is seeking an energetic, skilled, and motivated Middle School Director. The Middle School Director will serve as the lead administrator for the North Wing (grades 5-8) and will be an active member of the school’s administrative team, reporting to the school’s Executive Director. The Middle School Director is responsible for supporting the academic needs of students and the professional development of staff, fostering an environment of growth, responsibility, and academic excellence. This role includes overseeing school improvement efforts, designing structures and processes to create a positive, collaborative, and engaging teaching and learning environment for middle school students.
Applicants must have a degree in education or a related field, along with experience in an educational setting, preferably at the middle school level. An advanced degree and/or administrative license is preferred. Applicants should be willing to work in a collaborative, integrated, and experiential environment.
