What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP position at ARTSQUEST?
Production Internship
The Production Intern will assist the production managers and production crew during live performance events. Duties will include stage set ups, band load ins/outs, sound check, any and all needed tasks a normal production tech would execute (with a few restrictions, which are written below). With several different performance venues, programming can vary wildly, and the Production Intern will play a role in making these events come to life. This internship is specifically designed for those studying audio, lighting, and video technology, including crew scheduling, attending production meetings, and ultimately the opportunity to mix a small band. Please inquire early for future consideration.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist the production managers with the coordination of selected concerts and event production in the agreed time frame
- Involvement with concert installation, from loading in bands, wiring and properly adding microphones to the stage, sound check, load out
- Assist with sound and light companies and securing staging companies
- Involvement with visual aspects of events, i.e. stage layout/design, visual site design
- Interns will be required to work on the predetermined show dates set by the production managers. Hours per day and week may vary, but we will work to ensure the required hours are met.
