JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you an art-world storyteller with a passion for Instagram and a knack for visual and written content creation? The Judy Seigel Estate Archive is seeking a freelance Instagram consultant to help launch, build, and manage an engaging Instagram presence to honor and promote the legacy of Judy Seigel, the influential feminist artist-photographer (1930-2017).

About the Role :

You will collaborate with the archive director to craft a vibrant, compelling Instagram strategy that combines storytelling, artistic visuals, and multimedia content. This is an opportunity to use your expertise in social media, filming, editing, creative storytelling, and the art world to bring Judy Seigel’s legacy to a broader arts audience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create vibrant, engaging content using new and existing video, photographs, paintings, and multimedia works from the archive.
• Craft compelling written content to complement and highlight the archive’s visual materials.
• Devise and implement an Instagram strategy that effectively promotes Judy Seigel’s legacy and contextualizes her contributions to feminism, art, and photography.
• Work collaboratively with the archive director, fostering a strong partnership to develop and execute compelling content.
• Stay informed about social media trends and best practices along with the current and past art market to ensure that content remains relevant to gallerists, museums, and curators.
