Job Description
The Facility Maintenance Manager reports to Aruna’s Director of Operations and onsite Management Team. As the Facility Maintenance Manager, you will have full responsibility for the organization and execution of maintaining infrastructure, equipment, and grounds of the assigned Aruna production facility. In this role, you will implement and maintain maintenance and building safety objectives and initiatives. You will also oversee all aspects of the equipment and infrastructure maintenance process, from installation and upkeep to inspection and repair, often assuming a hands-on role in one or more stages of the process.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversight of HVAC systems
- Assist Management with Building Maintenance System
- Ozone System Maintenance
- Irrigation System Maintenance
- Fogging System Maintenance
- Eco-Loop Pump Systems Maintenance
- Condensate Well Maintenance
- Air Compressor Maintenance
- Headhouse Upkeep and Maintenance
- Monthly Generator Maintenance
- Start-up, Service and Maintenance Logs and Fuel Coordination
- Coordinating various subcontractors where needed
- CO2 Tanks- Coordinating the Shipping, Receiving and Change Over
- Replacement of Grow Lights as needed
- Miscellaneous Equipment Maintenance
- Groundskeeping
- Weed whacking, mowing, and snow cleanup as needed from sidewalks and fire exits (we have a full snow removal contract)
- Assisting with Room Cleaning and Changeover after Harvest, Disposal of Soil Bags
- Floor Deep Cleans as needed
- Empty Facility Cardboard and Trash Daily
- On Call for facility maintenanece issues
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license required
- Must pass a CORI background check and be willing to submit personal information to become a licensed state agent
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with our team members, senior support personnel, and subcontractors on a regular basis
- Able to initiate and follow through on work independently

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- 4 years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Experience developing and executing on multiple equipment maintenance schedules. Knowledgeable regarding Industrial maintenance processes (e.g., preventative maintenance, material handling equipment, power equipment, facilities upkeep).
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Production/Operations Management).
- Direct experience with HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation (e.g., certifications/licenses, where applicable).
- Experience with Massachusetts Cannabis Regulations (935 CMR 500) and Cannabis Control Commission operational and regulatory requirements for Cultivation and Product Manufacturing operations.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
- Works at heights, including on roofs, on scaffolding, up ladders, or in ceiling spaces.
- Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- Work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts.
- Move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces.
- Work outdoors for extended periods of time.
- Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
