Arundel Lodge, Inc. is a dedicated behavioral health agency committed to improving the lives of children, adults, and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders. Our Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center, located on the campus of Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center, provides short-term urgent care for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. We are thrilled to introduce the state-funded Rapid Access for Youth (RAY) Team, which focuses on connecting local students and their families to appropriate behavioral health services.
We are seeking an experienced therapist with a passion for working with youth and adolescents, individuals with substance use disorders, and those in crisis. Join our team to make a meaningful impact!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with diverse populations, providing collaborative care across various demographics and age groups.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services.
- Deliver psychotherapy and care coordination services.
- Independently assess and treat clients in crisis with a person-centered and compassionate approach.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, adapting to changing circumstances and crisis environments.
- Assess and treat clients and families with a range of behavioral health conditions and needs.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy as required.
- Collect and analyze data, notifying the treatment team of any potential risk issues.
- Complete accurate and timely utilization reviews and documentation for authorizations.
- Monitor after-hours cell phone coverage on a rotating basis (one week every 12-14 weeks).
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling and Maryland licensure (LMSW or LGPC required; LCSW-C or LCPC preferred).
• A minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting, implementing psychotherapeutic and crisis intervention services is required.
Care coordination experience is preferred.
