We are hiring a Substance Use Counselor to work in the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Candidate must be a licensed social worker with experience in substance use treatment or a licensed Substance Use Counselor with CSC-AD, CAC-AD, or LCADC. Tasks include;
- Counselor will lead intensive outpatient and outpatient addiction groups
- Acts as client’s OMHC treatment coordinator and collaborates with treatment team to provide mental health and substance use recovery-oriented services
- Ensures continuity of care through comprehensive and appropriate discharge planning with client, family, and/or significant others.
- Assesses the client’s psychosocial situation in relation to mental health and substance use needs. Plans appropriate interventions and treatment goals to improve client (and when appropriate, family) functioning, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and generally accepted clinical counseling practice
