Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk)
8:00 AM -5:00 PM
Department: Automation Engineering - 501
Primary Purpose:
This position should have the ability to read and understand manufacturing documents such as Bill of Materials, assembly drawings and wiring schematics. Must be familiar with basic electrical hand tools and should have experience in building electrical panels to print. In addition, this position should have some CAD skills to be able to modify drawings and schematics.

Essential Functions:
Builds electrical panels, including mounting hardware and running wire from point to point per wiring schematic.
Uses CAD software to modify or update existing assembly drawings or schematics.
Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Communicates all information and changes to team members immediately.
Organizes all project documents and data in accordance with Engineering policies.
Provides written process guidelines and procedures as required.
Works with technical personnel to adapt new technologies or technological improvements in pre and post-analytical processes.
Quickly gains knowledge of new technologies to ensure successful implementation and to provide education to the team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Experience
Required- One (1) year of directly related work experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with electrical hand tools
- Demonstrated basic proficiency with AutoCAD design software
- Three years’ experience in a manufacturing or related environment
- Informatics skills and experience in machining
- Knowledge of UL508A a plus
Education
Required- High School Diploma or Equivalent or better
