The opportunity

Supporting preparation of design and planning projects across various project types

Conducting background research on specific locations, strategies or policies

Data collection and analysis (desktop data collection and / or fieldwork)

Completing and documenting technical analyses

Report writing and production of planning-related and urban design graphics and maps

Performing analyses using a variety of tools including Excel, PowerBI, GIS, Rhino, Python, Grasshopper.

Attending team, consultant and client meetings

Developing presentations, including in InDesign, Illustrator and other graphics software applications

Working with people from other disciplines to gain knowledge on new subjects.

Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, transportation, civil engineering, or related field required

The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment

Experience using CAD, GIS, Rhino, Revit or other analytical and project development software

Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working

Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels

New York Hiring Range

• The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York, NY is $75,500 to $82,500 per year.

This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level.

Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York, NY will differ.
