5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Department: Huntsman Phlebotomy - 425
Primary Purpose:
Works independently to provide problem solving on issues that are in-depth in nature and may take the employee away from other assigned tasks for extended periods of time. Serves as the subject matter expert and mentor in assigned department. Trains new employees in the department and retrains employees as needed.

Essential Functions:
Problem resolving—resolve in depth issues with internal and external clients and departments.
Manage concerned clients to reach an acceptable solution. Escalates as appropriate in each instance.
Assists with training of new employees on all functions of the department.
Answer questions for employees related to policy and procedure. Assist in the development of core employees.
Provide a liaison between clients/department and other areas of ARUP.
Serve in the capacity of the core job as described in the position posting (Client Services Representative, Exception Handling Representative, Referral Testing Technician, Technician, Medical Transcriptionist) as workload and staffing require.
Assist supervisor or designee with activities such as developing training manuals and procedures. Communicate with other departments as requested by the supervisor or in their absence.
Assists supervisor with quality assurance monitoring and documentation as defined.
Other Duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
Experience
Required- One year of experience in applicable department
- Currently hold a level-II/Sr. position or higher
- Must maintain competency in applicable area(s)
- Must possess excellent skills of communication, both written and oral
- Proficiency with applicable ARUP software programs (i.e., Millennium, ESP, ANSR, IMS, etc.)
- Keyboarding skills at 35 wpm
- College coursework in healthcare or life sciences
Education
Required- High School Diploma or Equivalent or better
