Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP) Duties:
- * (QIDP) means a person with specialized training or one year experience in working with individuals with Dev. Disabilities.
- * A QIDP is a person with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, a physician. An educator with CA teaching credentials; a social worker with a bachelor’s degree in another field plus 3 years experience under social worker with a master’s degree; or
- * Physical Therapist
- * Occupational Therapist
- * Speech Therapist
- * Audiologist
- * Registered Nurse
- * Recreation Therapist
- * Rehabilitation Counselor
- * At least one year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other dev. Disabilities
- * Must have one of the following:
- - Dr. of Medicine or Osteopathy
- - RN or a person who holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a professional category (OT, PT, RN, Rehab Counseling, Speech Pathology).
Administrative Duties:
- * Complete inter-agency paperwork accurately and timely.
- * Manage and be accountable for department budgets.
- * Explain variances for budget infractions and develop plans of prevention.
- * Maintain a flexible work schedule to ensure quality of services.
- * Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling.
- * Attend and participate in agency meetings as required.
- * Facilitate Human Rights meeting as required.
- * Ensure availability through cell phone.
- * Lead Mock Survey teams as assigned.
- * Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures as related to duties.
- * One-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- * One year supervisory experience preferred. Basic knowledge of personal computers
- required.
