What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate (Fulfillment Specialist) position at Arvato USA LLC?
Carbel, part of Arvato, is a full-service 3PL provider serving national and international clients across various industries, with a strong focus on fashion and retail. The Fulfillment Associate performs duties needed to process orders within a multi-client facility. This includes picking, packing, sorting, and shipping both single and multi-unit orders. These processes may be performed via pick to tote, pick to cart, via pallet or 'ship-alone' depending upon size of product and process path.
YOUR TASKS
- Train on and follow standard operating procedures
- Locate and recognize barcodes on client products
- Use functions of the RF Android for the purpose of putaway, replenishment, picking, and sorting functions
- Induct product into sortation process of the tilt tray sorter and PTL
- Identify proper package type for packing process. Corrugate or bags based on client specifications.
- Follow safety guidelines when working around conveyor or pick carts
- Loading trucks by hand, using conveyance, pallet jacks or PIT as required
- Perform routine value-added services based upon client.
- Additional Responsibilities: Cross-training in other client and fulfillment processes.
- Training new hires as needed
- Working as directed by lead or supervisors.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned
YOUR PROFILE
Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, RF scanner and calculator
Strong verbal communication skills
Flexibility is a must: Must be able to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and different areas of the warehouse
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must adhere to facility requirements regarding the handling of specific products and the reporting of illness. This includes personal hygiene standards, such as frequent hand washing, the storage of lunches / personal items, food in the work area and the wearing of clothes that are free from soil contaminants and holes
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Good vision and hearing for verbal communication and forklift safety
Manhattan WMS experience preferred.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 100 lbs
