What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance and Facilities Manager position at Arvato?
Arvato is seeking a hands on and self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the proactive and preventative facility maintenance across our facility in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be able to leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management and work cross-functionally to maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements.
YOUR TASKS
- Supervise, guide and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance and special projects of all machinery and equipment
- Be responsible for overseeing all vendors on property, negotiating with vendors to reduce overhead costs and any facility related repairs and general upkeep
- Delegate work projects for the improvement of efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operations
- Maintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing downtime of equipment
- Assist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes or CAPEX projects
- Develop and modify equipment to meet the department’s production, quality or layout requirements
- Vendors include but not limited to housekeeping, recycling, trash and miscellaneous day to day requirements
- Assist in new building selection and fit out to meet arvato specifications
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience
- Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience supervising others
- Must be able stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
- Must be able to work long hours including overtime if needed
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
