Positon is located at 1720 S Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah, OK 74464.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Preferred qualifications are listed below;

  • Proven Community Development in the Tahlequah
  • Previous management of lending team
  • Lending schools or graduate banking school

SUMMARY: The Community Bank President directs the banking activities of a branch(s) in a specific community in conjunction with the local bank’s overall goals and strategic objectives. The incumbent is accountable for leading the community/market in a manner that will result in positive growth in equity, profits, loans, deposits, return on assets, return on all investments, and quality and scope of financial services, and community image. The Community Bank President will generate commercial loans, manage a personal commercial portfolio, and develop lenders in the branch. The Community Bank President is accountable to the President of a Bank Region and any local boards for planning, direction, coordinating, and controlling community bank activities within the scope of established policies. Incumbents accountable for communities/markets with total loans above $100 million and/or assets above $200 million will be placed in the higher grade and incumbents under these metrics will be placed in the lower grade.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following . Other duties may be assigned.

1. Oversee an effective annual strategic plan formation, goal and objective setting, and budgeting process in the community bank in conjunction with the local bank. Manage and direct the community bank toward its primary objectives based on profit, growth, and return on equity to meet annual goals.

2. Generate new commercial loans, calling on existing and potential customers to develop loan business. Interview, obtain credit information, make decisions within credit limits or make recommendation to Loan Committee.

3. Manage an individual loan portfolio ensuring credit quality standards are maintained, while actively identifying opportunities to fully develop commercial relationships.

4. Oversee the business development efforts, referral generation, in the community by making customer and prospect calls with a goal to grow loans and deposits and other bank services. Serve as a trusted advisor and assist customers in recognizing opportunities and risks while helping them accomplish their goals through their use of bank products and services.

5. Develop lending staff and provide guidance in achieving production and growth goals. Mentor and coach sales and performance expectations for community lenders.

6. Administer and oversee community development activities and the bank’s involvement for their community.

7. In conjunction with the Branch Administrator(s), participate in setting goals for branch(s) and associates. Review all measurement criteria on regular basis and provide support as needed.

8. Partner with local bank marketing department on community initiatives and events.

9. Provide all required information timely to Local Board of Directors and conduct an effective board meeting as applicable.

10. Help to resolve customer complaints and maintain superior customer service ratings.

11. Develop effective working relationships with senior leadership. Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the bank.

12. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related experience required. Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
  • 8 years previous lending related experience with emphasis in evaluation and origination of complex credits required.
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Pay Range: $130880 - $155411 per year
