Position is based at 401 N. Walnut St., Harrison, AR 72601 but flexible with incumbent being located within the Harrison, Mountain Home, Jonesboro or Yellville, AR area.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications are 3 years of Treasury Management Operations/Sales and or Consulting experience.

Job Title: TM Emerging Commercial Sales Advisor, the TM Emerging Commercial Sales Advisor is responsible for developing new treasury management business and expanding existing business relationships with emerging commercial customers that typically have an annual sales size between $1 MM and $5 MM. The incumbent is also responsible for performing the consultative sales process by leveraging their expertise around customer working capital management practices, payment systems, fraud risk mitigation, and associated products and services to meet the customers’ and prospects’ payment needs. The TM Emerging Commercial Sales Advisor focuses on sales opportunities that can be obtained primarily via phone, in-person, virtual environment (web-based video conferencing tool), and via email. The incumbent incorporates a keen awareness of risk and a customer focused perspective. The incumbent is expected to travel, when environmentally appropriate, in their assigned region/industry specialty up to 50% of the time.

What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

Execute TM sales strategies in an assigned portfolio of bank customers and prospects (geography/industry specialty) in efforts to grow TM revenue and achieve sales goals. Follow the Customer Focused Banking (CFB) discipline and approach to sales (which includes pipeline development, pre-call plans, process flows, and working capital), within the established exception pricing policy.

Use strong networking and relationship management skills, as well as knowledge of the assigned market/industries, to source new business opportunities and ensure that the opportunities are pursued appropriately. Work with other associates to ensure the customer relationship is maximized.

Maintain a portfolio of existing high touch customers with an awareness of profitability, business trending, and overall performance. Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement through enhanced processes, tools, and additional products to the customer. Provide excellent customer service through an advisory role.

Sell via phone conversations, web-based video conferencing tool, emails, and in person. Independently prospect new customers and timely respond to referrals from other associates, including commercial bankers, business bankers, wealth advisors, and private bankers. Perform the end-to-end sales process independently, from cultivating and maintaining relationships to closing the deal to passing the customer to Risk and Contract Assurance (RCAS) and TM Customer Services (TMCS) for onboarding and training. Guidance is available from the TM Emerging Sales Manager as needed.

Demonstrate a willingness and the ability to share expertise with others. Engage in training activities with bankers in the assigned region/industries to ensure they understand the TM product set and what a good referral looks like.

In partnership with the assigned TM Sales Specialist, focus on consultative selling of the TM products that best align to the needs of the emerging commercial customer base.

Partner with the bank leadership structure on deposit gathering activities and focus on helping businesses achieve their strategic business plans.

Work with the TM Emerging Sales Manager to provide customer feedback into Product Management for emerging commercial customers in the region/industry.

Provide advice to customers on how to optimize their financial operations, including more in-depth insight around process optimization in addition to Arvest’s product offering. Perform timely follow-up on newly implemented treasury services to ensure we meet the client's needs.

Maintain and continue to develop industry knowledge and stay current on competitor offerings. Start to develop and provide market and competitor feedback to ensure competitiveness.

Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field (Finance, Economics and/or Accounting) or equivalent related or relevant military experience required

3 years of sales experience or 2 years of business customer services with 1 year of sales experience required

Proven interest or knowledge of the TM discipline required

Proven track record of sales success required

Proven ability to build full banking relationships required

Strong customer skills including desire to meet customer needs through sales required

Ability to complete CFB 4 Commercial Banking Foundations within 6 months of hire required

Demonstrated knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software tools is required

Professional level written and verbal communication skills required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

Must be knowledgeable of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services required

Must be knowledgeable of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices required

Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members

Preferred:

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation

Arvest experience

Prior experience with commercial customers with annual sales between $1 MM and $5 MM
