The primary responsibilities for the Maintenance Tech position include but not limited to:
- Machine controls, automation, vfd & servo systems
- Computer hardware/software trouble shooting
- Improvement & integration
- Read, write, modify & design PLC & HMI programs
- Insures proper documentation of electrical controls & programs are available & maintained for all production equipment
- Assist in equipment design & implementation
- Administers electrical controls training for maintenance & production engineering members
- Multi-skilled in machine automation to include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
Job duties but not limited to:
- Maintain & trouble shoot machine controls with emphasis on down time reduction
- Analyze equipment & processes for improvement of safety, quality, cycle time & reliability
- Provide assistance to maintenance & production engineering members when needed
- Hold formal electrical training classes for maintenance & production engineering members
- Read, write, modify, design & maintain controls technical documents & procedures
- Research new technologies to improve ASI processes
- Assist production engineering in equipment design & ECI’s
- Work with OEM’s & integrators on equipment improvement implementation
- Other duties as assigned
Criteria:
- Strong electrical controls, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic background with ability to read, write, modify & design PLC/HMI programs, diagrams & technical documents
- Positive attitude, self motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills with ability to teach others
- Strong computer skills & computer system knowledge
Experience & Education:
- Associates degree to Bachelor’s degree in associated field or equivalent experience
- Three or more years’ experience with automated machine controls & PLC/HMI background.
