The primary responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Mass Production Support Specialist position include but not limited to:
- Provide quality assurance support to all ASI locations to ensure that purchased product is built in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
- Provides leadership and guidance to the production areas in support of product quality.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Communicates and interacts with quality, production, engineering, production control, purchasing and suppliers for all products in all ASI locations
- Maintain the International Material Data System for ASI parts (IMDS), (25%)
- Use TBP or A3 (Problem Solving) style documentation to support mass production operations for assigned investigations. Formally report the results to ASI Management. (5%)
- Perform data analysis at assigned intervals for field parts. Report data to management at defined intervals. Utilize this data to take proactive steps to improve products and manufacturing. Heavy lifting 50 lbs. daily. (25%)
- Analyze and report all field data for trends and costs. Summarize reports and coordinate negotiation of costs through face to face interaction with customer (25%)
- Participate in all quality activities for ASI Service Parts Facility as requested (10%)
- Develop measurement techniques for assigned projects utilizing coordinate measurement equipment and software where applicable. Support special activities related to 3D scanning and measurement. (10%)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Ability to analyze data and plan improvement activities
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of steel manufacturing systems and processes
- Knowledge of the Toyota Production System
- Display statistical/analytical reasoning
- Knowledge of materials and material science preferred
- Quality certification a plus
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or related fields
- Employment, experience, or internship in the quality field
- Possible entry level position
