Responsibilities include:
Microbial Control Solutions (MCS) focuses on threats posed by microorganisms to people and planet through five distinct business lines including Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings and Material Protection.
Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE), meanwhile, provides materials used to manufacture composites for electronics, aerospace and other markets, as well as vitamins and nutritional ingredients, chemicals and performance intermediates, and raw materials for a wide range of high-performance applications.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and carryout procedures that effectively control environmental health exposures in the Company in line with OSHA, EPA, NYSDEC, MCES and DOT Regulatory compliance.
- Focus on the “Vision of Zero” as it relates to injuries and environmental incidents. Also, lead efforts to improve cost reduction and process effectiveness in the areas of environmental safety.
- Lead, direct and train plant supervision and employees to comply with all applicable laws.
- Prepares various state and federal environmental reports, such as SARA, RCRA, EPCRA, RMP, CBS, PBS and Air Emissions.
- Negotiates with appropriate agencies to obtain necessary wastewater/air emission permits.
- Develops, implement and maintain Hazardous and Non-hazardous Waste Management program.
- Performs various Responsible Care audits.
- Assists with emergency response and training for such.
- Oversees the Groundwater Remediation program, including maintenance and upkeep.
- Performs RCRA training and other regulatory training as needed.
- Bachelor of Science REQUIRED.
- 3 years of experience in safety and environmental compliance within Manufacturing Environment.
- 3 years of experience in chemical processing and handling.
- 0-4 years of experience being responsible for Care/Chemstewards or ISO 45001/ISO 14001
- 1- 2 years of training/facilitation experience.
- Ability to build relationships
- Excellent presentation, organization, verbal and written communication skills.
- In-dept knowledge of EPA/OSHA requirements
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook required.
