Duties
As a Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assisting clients with daily living activities and mobility support.
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in health status.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Implementing care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care and support for individuals with disabilities.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Administering first aid when required and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Documenting patient care activities accurately and timely.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or assisted living is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or providing direct support services is a plus.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
