What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at As One Management?
Job Overview: Perform preventative and repair maintenance work for multiple properties to ensure hotels are maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner. The Maintenance Technician is the primary safety person for each hotel and is critical to staff and guest safety.
Reports to: General Manager, Chief Engineer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Maintenance Technician Essential Tasks
- Conduct self in accordance with As One Values and Mission, as well as brand standards
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks in accordance to QA requirements and complete work orders related
- Paint designated areas and items.
- Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
- Perform minor plumbing functions.
- Focus on guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
- Maintain the sidewalks and doorways including but not limited to snow removal (shoveling and salting) and trash removal.
- Conduct property inspections to get ahead of potential problems problems, product breakdowns or safety issues. Raise CapEx concerns to GM immediately.
- Operate within budget guidelines.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure to follow all safety training requirements and brand required training requirements
- Complete and follow through with all required training, including refresh training requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

- High School Diploma or equivalent and trade school coursework preferred
- Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training required

Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working all shifts, holidays and weekends. During Inclement weather conditions, technicians are required to be onsite to address safety needs of guests and staff unless otherwise directed by the General Manager.
- Requires standing for extended periods of time, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, manual dexterity, kneeling or crouching.
