Senior Accountant

The Position:

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team and will have responsibility for a variety of general accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis, consolidation of statements, compliance filings, and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Daily flash reporting and analysis
• Cash and investment management
• Communicate with international staff and oversee all foreign accounting and operational transactions.
• Manage fixed assets, from capital requests to monthly depreciation
• Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reporting documents
• Financial analysis: Analyze financial reports and records, and perform variance analyses
• Account reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Tax Preparation: Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns
• Audit assistance: Assist with internal and external audits, and investigate and resolve audit findings
• Managing flow of accounting data to/from remote facilities.
• Budgeting: Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets
• Communication: Communicate financial information to stakeholders and other departments
• Training and mentoring: Train and mentor junior staff
• Special projects as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2 Years previous accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
• Ability to work under pressure
