Position Summary :
Patient Services Supervisors at Southampton Hospital are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day supervision of the patient services operations.
Essential Position : This position is considered "Essential". The incumbent must report to work regardless of extreme weather or other conditions.
Required Qualifications :
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or similar, or equivalent of education and experience in a Sous Chef position
- Food Manager Certificate (current or obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a kitchen leadership role.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a long-term or acute care facility.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and purveyor ordering procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations about hospital food service
- Knowledge of A la Carte / Room Service food operations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency with Windows computers and software
- Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
- Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as appropriate.
