Job Description :

We are seeking a detailed and energetic Internal Marketing Communications Specialist at Asahi Kasei America. You will focus on cultivating strong internal communication channels to foster employee engagement and alignment with the company's values. The primary objective is to facilitate transparent and effective communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring that employees are informed, motivated, and connected to Asahi Kasei's mission and vision.

By leveraging various communication channels such as newsletters, intranet portals, and internal events, you will help disseminate important updates, announcements, and initiatives to employees. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to support employee recognition programs, community relations activities, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and morale.

Working in tandem with the Corporate Communications Division in Japan and regional business units, you will contribute to the development of a cohesive internal communications strategy that aligns with Asahi Kasei's broader corporate objectives. By fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this role contributes to strengthening Asahi Kasei's internal brand identity in North America and reinforcing its position as an employer of choice within the organization.

Job Tasks

Internal Email Campaigns : Develop, write, and manage internal email communications to employees throughout the organization. Ensure that internal emails are clear, concise, and engaging, with consistent messaging and branding.

Executive Messaging : Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and disseminate key messages, announcements, and updates to employees, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and values.

Employee Engagement and Community Relations Support : Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction, including recognition programs, volunteer opportunities, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Assist in coordinating community relations activities and partnerships to strengthen Asahi Kasei's presence in the local community.

Presentation Support : Provide assistance with the creation and delivery of engaging presentations for internal meetings, town halls, and training sessions, incorporating visual elements, storytelling techniques, and multimedia content as needed.

A-Spirit Internal Magazine Support : Contribute to the development, editing, and distribution of the A-Spirit internal magazine, including writing articles, sourcing content, and coordinating with contributors to ensure timely publication.

Communications Tools Management and Measurement : Manage internal communication tools and platforms, including text messaging systems, television content management systems (CMS), and other digital channels. Monitor and analyze engagement metrics and feedback to measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts and identify areas for improvement.

Intranet Platform Management : Manage and maintain the company intranet, SharePoint. Ensure content is up-to-date, relevant, and accessible to all employees, and provide training and support to users as needed.

Metrics and Reporting : Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal communications initiatives, employee engagement, and corporate culture. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate insights, trends, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications)

Education : A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or a related field

Work Experience : 3 years of appropriate business experience in Communications or an equivalent field

Knowledge : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Japanese language skillset would be beneficial but not required

Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel

Office environment, hybrid

Domestic travel up to 25% and international travel up to 1 time a year
