The Director will oversee and manage the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of institutional-quality neighborhood retail and mixed-use assets located in various markets across the United States. The Director will be responsible for investment sourcing across large geographic regions of the United States with support and direction from senior management. The Director will oversee financial structuring and analysis and manage the due diligence and closing processes for prospective investment opportunities. The Director will work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-performance environment. The Director will join a high-volume transaction team, targeting at least 15 new acquisitions per year. Duties include :
- Source new acquisitions by building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including owners, brokers, developers, and potential joint venture partners
- Negotiate purchase and sale agreements and manage third-party legal for transaction work
- Provide analytics, research, and modeling support to refine underwriting and business plan assumptions for acquisitions and dispositions in various markets across the United States
- Collaborate with execution teams and junior acquisition professionals, providing deal specific underwriting guidance
- Oversee the due diligence and closing processes for prospective transactions
- Lead preparation and presentation of investment committee memorandums in relation to proposed transactions
- Monitor and analyze key economic and demographic trends in target markets and submarkets
