Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team in a small community hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general nursing care to patients in the L&D unit, including types of procedures required.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Utilize equipment such as EMR, Bed Side Medication Verification, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, and waterbirths.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Hold current licensures and certifications/registrations: RN, BLS, NRP, OR License.
Schedule:
No call is required. Our minimal staffing is 2 RNs at all times, even when low census.
Unit Information:
- The unit consists of ~8 beds, including 6 LDRPs and a Level 1 Nursery.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3:1 for couplets, 2:1 for early labor, and 1:1 for active labor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in LDRP.
- Willingness to work alone.
- Post-Partum and Nursery experience.
- Willingness to float.
