Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC), located in Medford, is a 378-bed regional referral and level 2 trauma center featuring the latest medical technology and clinical expertise-all administered with a patient-focused philosophy. Our hospital team delivers nationally-recognized heart and vascular care, orthopedic services, and cancer care, as well as a comprehensive range of other key services including neurology and neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, rehabilitation services, work health, diabetes care, hospice services, a primary stroke center, an accredited hospital-based sleep center, and the regions only neonatal intensive care unit.
Position Summary
The Nursing Director reports to the hospital's VP of Nursing and has 24-hour responsibility for patient care within the hospital. The Director is responsible for supporting and modeling a professional culture focused on quality, patient safety, employee engagement, fiscal responsibility, and patient experience and is clinically, administratively, and fiscally accountable for assigned patient care areas. The Director assures that the mission, vision, and values, of the health system are consistently implemented within his/her scope of responsibility. The Director facilitates the delivery of care by setting professional standards in an open, creative, accountable, non-threatening and supportive environment. This includes empowerment of staff, providing resources, and commitment to trust and respect for all.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field, preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years current management experience in clinical specialty required
- Clinical competency with a minimum 3 years of experience in clinical specialty required
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership attributes required
- Previous experience as a clinical director, preferred
Licensure/Certifications
- RN: Registered Nurse (RN) by the Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN or CCRN-K from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses), preferred
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), preferred
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader Certification (CNML) from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, preferred
