Emergency General Surgery PA/NP Opportunity

Asante Physician Partners General Surgery team is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work alongside our Emergency General Surgeons (EGS). The General Surgery practice is comprised of three elective general surgeons, a colorectal surgeon, and three Emergency General surgeons. Endoscopic services are also provided. The position would include consulting on EGS patients; rounding, charting, and writing orders. Collaboration with surgeons and residents to coordinate care. Follow up on EGS patients discharged. There will be some assist in the OR but emphasis will be on coordination of care in the hospital.

Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC) in Grants Pass is a Level III trauma center and community hospital that offers a wide range of high-quality medical care to residents of Southern Oregon. Our 125-bed hospital combines a small town hospital feel with the high-tech capabilities of a large, modern facility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.

License / Certification: Physician Assistant (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) required or Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required. Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Experience: Experience in EGS is preferred.
