Asante is seeking a full time Employee Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to join our dedicated team.
Position Summary: The Employee Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Associate (PA) is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to employees in an occupational health setting. This role involves assessing and managing both the physical and mental health of employees, addressing workplace injuries, illnesses, and preventive health measures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The NP/PA will collaborate with management, HR, and other healthcare professionals to promote a healthy workforce.
Education: Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program.
Licensure/Certifications: Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate, or Physician Associate (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) required. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in employee health or occupational medicine or other health related specialty required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with all levels of employees and the physician community.
Works as a team member and encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers, other departments, and outside agencies. Must have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of health enhancement, health education, and workers' compensation laws.
