Salary: The wage for this position is between $26.79 per hour and $40.18 per hour. Increases are based on years of experience in the field.
Position Summary
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services to a wide variety of patients, in patient care area including inpatient, outpatient, and may provide weekend treatment to inpatients. This position will support inpatient and outpatient environments.
Qualifications
Education
- Graduation from a PTA program
- Ability to adhere to and maintain expertise regarding federal and state regulations and specific carrier requirements
Licensure/Certifications
- PTA: Physical Therapist Assistant licensed by the Oregon Physical Therapist Licensing Board required upon start
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
- DL: Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past 10 years and proof of insurance may also be required RRMC and AACH
Required Skills
- Ability to process information and to problem-solve individually and within a team setting
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately and to manager time well
- Flexibility with scheduling along with the ability to provide inpatient treatment on a weekend rotation, or ability to provide treatment at two sites
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, families, coworkers, physicians, and community members
