Position Summary
The Emergency Services Patient Care Supervisor provides oversight and coordination for emergency services and related patient care areas. The primary focus is supervising daily patient care, operations and ensuring that the care meets quality standards in a cost-effective manner. In addition, provides performance improvement, statistical data collection, patient and community education, and management of organizational change for emergency services and related patient care areas. Collaborates with Emergency Services Manager and Supervisor on related goal setting and planning. Provides consistent and timely information and feedback to the manager, including input regarding financial and/or quality performance and human resource issues.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelors degree in a related field, preferred
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in area of specialty (Emergency Services), or 2 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in a related specialty is required
Required Licensure/Certifications
- RN: Registered Nurse by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certified by the American Heart Association
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- TEAM: Trauma Emergency Assessment & Management
Preferred Certification
- CEN: Certified Emergency Nurse
