For this role, candidates at either the Anesthesia Tech or Anesthesia Tech Trainee levels will be considered. Details on qualifications for both levels noted below. Wage is based on level of position and years of relevant experience.
Anesthesia Tech Trainee: $20.53 per hour and up (based on years of relevant experience)
Anesthesia Tech: $23.29 per hour and up (based on years of relevant experience)
Both levels also pay extra shift differentials (on top of the hourly base rate) for evening, night, and weekend hours!

Position SummaryThe Anesthesia Technician is a responsible member of the Surgery Patient Care Team, working under the supervision of Anesthesia and/or the Surgical Services Clinical Manager. The Anesthesia Tech performs inventory and participates in annual budgeting, assesses the needs of the Anesthesia Department and collaborates with the anesthesiologists, and other members of the perioperative health care team. The Anesthesia Tech also communicates with vendors and participates in the evaluation of new anesthesia equipment and supplies.
As an Anesthesia Tech for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:
- Demonstrate Technical Expertise by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case
- Assist with the anesthesia activities required for the delivery of safe patient care in the OR

For the Anesthesia Tech:
- Prior Anesthesia experience, or experience in a relevant field providing knowledge and competency in Anesthesia, is required
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
For the Anesthesia Tech Trainee:
The Anesthesia Tech Trainee works under the supervision of the Anesthesia Technician and/or the Surgical Services Clinical Manager and is responsible for cleaning, assembling and setting up anesthesia equipment and machines for each surgical case. Also identifies malfunctioning equipment and conducts light maintenance of anesthesia equipment.
- Experience working within a health care team in direct patient care areas is required
- Must possess an understanding of medical terminology to interpret physician instructions
- If no prior anesthesia tech or paramedic experience must successfully complete Asante Anesthesia Tech Training Modules prior to hire
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
