Position Summary
The Cath Lab Supervisor coordinates and assists Leadership in the operation of the CVL (Cardiovascular Lab). Supervises Cath Lab staff. Coordinates the scheduling of patients and staff and performs professional service. Acts as the system coordinator for information systems specific to the CVL.
Key Responsibilities
- Consults with physicians, ancillary departments, and staff to solve problems which affect workflow and patient care.
- Coordinates the activities required for the delivery of safe patient care in the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Acts according to Asante's Mission Vision and Values.
Position Qualifications
Experience
- Must be either a licensed RT, RN or CVT with 4 years of experience working as a CVL Technologist in a CVL.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Radiology, Healthcare or other related field, is preferred.
One of the following is required;
- For RT: Completion of an accredited imaging program.
- For RN: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- For CVT: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program.
Certification/Licensure
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, required.
- BLS: Basic Life Support, required.
- For RN/RT: Licensed in Cardiovascular by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with a Subspecialty in Angiography (RCIS) (CCI), preferred.
One of the following certifications or licensures is required;
- For RT: Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI) Or Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) Or Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV) Or Licensed in Cardiovascular by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with a Subspecialty in Angiography (RCIS) (CCI) Or Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Or Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Radiography. If the license by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is in transition of renewal, the certification part of the license may need to be verified by the appropriate national agency: ARRT, ARDMS, ARMRIT, CCI or NMTCB.
- For RN: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing
- For CVT: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
