For the Med Tech Epic Analyst positions, wage is based on years of relevant experience as well as the level of the position. Depending upon a candidate’s qualifications, we may hire at either the Analyst level or the Senior Analyst level. Details on the qualifications for each level are noted below. Wage range noted on this job posting covers both levels.
Salary Ranges per Level:
- Epic Analyst Medical Technologist: $76,523.20 - $114,795.00 annually
- Senior Epic Analyst Medical Technologist: $90,084.80 - $135,137.60 annually
PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote position. Candidates will be required to have reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include working day-to-day operations during Pacific Standard business hours or online training. This position will be expected to take 24/7 on-call support for a week at a time in rotation with the other members of the team. On-call rotation will begin when the staff member and Team Lead feel the level of skill has been achieved to triage and support end user critical needs.
Position Summary
The Epic Analyst Medical Technologist for the Beaker team designs, analyzes, develops, tests, implements, and/or provides tier two technical assistance of assigned system applications. Consults with Epic representatives, application coordinators, supervisors, and end users to configure and build Epic software and applications to meet organizational and client needs. Troubleshoots problems, offers solutions, and recommends a course of action to address the issues and needs of the end user and to achieve client and/or hospital specifications for Epic applications. Develops and modifies procedures to solve complex data processing problems and/or prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The Epic Beaker analyst is tasked with upgrade, support, and maintenance of the lab analyzer middleware and the blood bank application.
Please Note: To be considered for this position, qualified applicants will need to take and pass a proprietary assessment developed by Epic Systems Corporation if not already certified in a clinical build application.
Requirements for Epic Analyst Medical Technologist level
- MLS or MT experience with demonstrated proficiency in EPIC applications.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS(ASCP)), or equivalent (AMT, NCA, military, or MT(ASCP)).
- Will be required to acquire Epic Proficiency within three months of hire.
- Will be offered the ability to gain Epic Certification in current application by attending classes in Verona, WI – with the expectation to sign retention contract and will be required to complete annual EPIC recertification requirements.
Requirements for Senior Epic Analyst Medical Technologist level
- 5 years collective experience as a Medical Technologist to include Epic Experience supporting laboratory applications and services.
- Strong Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) competency.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS(ASCP)), or equivalent (AMT, NCA, military, or MT(ASCP)).
- Required to hold At least two Epic Certifications/Accreditations/Proficiencies across applications.
- Will be required to complete annual EPIC recertification requirements.
