POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide the opportunity for a chemist internship to a junior/senior level chemistry student at the Silver Bell Mine, located northwest of Tucson, AZ. The internship will provide an opportunity to gain experience a variety of tasks related to the position of Chemist Engineer utilizing knowledge learned via coursework in attendance at a four-year university while seeking a chemistry degree. The Intern will report to and work under the Senior Chemist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Data entry and statistical evaluation of historical quality assurance/quality control assay data.

Weighing samples and preparing them for analysis.

Simple reagent preparation and validation

General lab cleaning, glassware washing, report generation, general instrument operation and minor maintenance, and other tasks as needed.

The Intern will be expected to utilize the materials provided to learn their duties.

Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Computer literacy is required.

Must attend our MSHA training.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.

Must be majoring in Chemical, Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
