What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surface Crew Technician position at Asarco LLC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
Entry level position for Surface Crew.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operating Construction Class Equipment (Telehandlers, forklifts, Articulated Haul Trucks, etc.)
- Work safely around moving equipment.
- Requires working up to 16-hour shifts
- Various duties assigned to include; basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, custodial, and Landscaping
- Responsible for executing tasks throughout the Plant
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to work rotating shifts/days.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures.
- Skilled in basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, custodial, and Landscaping Skills & abilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current, valid driver's license.
