Responsibilities
Serve as a RedHat OpenShift Engineer Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable application development and deployment. Design, implement, and manage containerized applications using RedHat OpenShift platform. Build, tune, optimize containers and VMs within OpenShift for optimum efficiency Review architecture and design to create safe and efficient build processes Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy applications within the OpenShift environment. Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of the OpenShift platform. Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to enhance performance and efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes. Offer technical support and guidance to teams on OpenShift best practices and troubleshooting. Keep current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to OpenShift, Kubernetes and DevOps best practices. Implement security measures to protect applications and infrastructure within the OpenShift environment. Required skills and experience
5 years of Platform / DevOps experience specifically in : An on-prem environment Containerization (Docker) Kubernetes (Openshift) Linux (RHEL) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of integration and microservices architecture technologies like Apigee, Kafka, etc. Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps and continuous improvement methodologies. Expertise in managing OpenShift cluster, containerized applications, containers (container image update process), etc. Experience with CI / CD tools, creating and maintaining CI / CD Pipelines, and processes : Jenkins, GitLab or CircleCI. Familiarity with scripting languages : Bash, Python or Groovy. Experience with configuration management tools : Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Strong Linux-based system administration. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. OpenShift certification or similar credentials. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK stack. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with microservices architecture, container orchestration and distributed deployment strategies. Good to have
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Knowledge of networking, security protocols
