Janitor/Maintenance

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring all areas meet safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks and reporting any repairs or issues to management.
• Assist with custodial duties, including waste disposal, recycling, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
• Support porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities.
• Engage in residential painting projects when necessary to enhance the appearance of facilities.
• Kitchen cleaning and upkeeping including washing dishes/running dishwasher.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while multitasking.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in all tasks.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
