What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-K Teacher position at Asbury Child Development Center?
Must have at least one year experience working in a child care facility.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to encourage gross motor skill development
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents on their child's development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate school-wide events and activities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience working in a childcare or daycare setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as math, language, and social skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
