About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at High Point Residence in Jerseyville. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents, ensuring that all meals are of high quality and meet dietary requirements. You will work closely with our dietary team to plan menus and ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with special dietary needs
- Experience with menu planning and inventory management
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring that all meals are of high quality and meet dietary requirements
- Collaborate with dietary team to plan menus and ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored
- Ensure that all food is stored and handled in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
