About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook/dishwasher to join our team at High Point Residence - Pinckneyville. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that all meals are prepared to meet the dietary needs of our residents. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals that meet their nutritional needs and preferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a senior living community or healthcare setting
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the dietary team to develop menus and meal plans
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
Skills:
As a cook, you will utilize your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations to prepare and cook meals for our residents. You will also use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the dietary team and ensure that all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. Additionally, you will use your organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, and your ability to read and follow recipes to ensure that all meals are prepared correctly.
