Description
Position Summary:
Serves as coordinator for all Mentored Ministry activities/classes and provides administrative support for the Mentored Ministry program.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as “the first voice” Mentored Ministry students and mentors hear.
- Set appointments to meet with and advise MM students about the MM program and how it fits into their schedules: the big picture.
- Oversee and update Mentored Ministry placement and mentor possibilities.
- Work with the Registrar’s Office to make sure that all approved MM students are added to MM classes.
- Correspond for and on behalf of the Director of Mentored Ministry.
- Coordinate Director’s appointment schedule, i.e. meetings and mentor trainings for Director of Mentored Ministry (including contacts regarding facilities, people, and food services; and coordination of on-site set up for meetings and events).
- Redesign, revise, and distribute MM520-MM620-MM720; MM701 and MM740 forms/resources/handbooks under the guidance of the Director.
- Update Connect Mentored Ministry web pages and Asbury Seminary websites as needed.
- Maintain electronic files of MM520-MM620-MM720; MM701 and MM740 evaluations and correspond with denominational Boards of Ministry, sending mentor evaluations as requested.
- Review all faculty, course, and program information in the Academic Catalog related to Mentored Ministry. Communicate any changes or corrections with the Registrar.
- Record Mentor and Student Self-Evaluations for assessment purposes at the end of each term.
- Provide support for Mentored Ministry faculty facilitators for each semester.
- Contact current mentors each semester for feedback and needed support.
- Set-up and maintain files and office supplies; serve as liaison with other departments and administrative staff on Mentored Ministry concerns; develop structures for new processes or procedures as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date Mentored Ministry budget and monitor monthly budget report for accuracy. Process all requests for MM payments, travel expense reports, and invoices as needed.
- Promote upcoming scheduling dates for Mentored Ministry through collaboration with Communications and Marketing.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Demonstrate administrative skills, with ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and work productively without continuous supervision
- Demonstrate secretarial/clerical competencies—for example, English language skills (English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation), basic math and accounting skills, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of mediums and in human relations
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships
- Punctuality, flexibility, maturity, professional demeanor, positive attitude, friendly disposition, and ability to exercise discretion on sensitive issues
- Skill in the use of personal computer/software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,); become acquainted with Connect, Canvas, and Campus Nexus; recommended Publisher or equivalent
