Position Title: Lead Childcare Worker
Reports To: Director of Community Formation

Summary of Position: The Lead Childcare Worker plays a critical role in Community Formation
by providing care for children (ages 2-12) and overseeing the childcare team and physical
childcare spaces. This position ensures the efficient operation of the childcare system, promotes
the safety and well-being of children, and fosters a positive and enriching environment during
events and chapel services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Childcare Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support the childcare team to ensure high-quality care.
- Assist in staffing childcare needs, ensuring appropriate coverage for events and chapel services.
- Plan and implement regular training sessions for Childcare Workers, focusing on safety, child engagement, and professional development.
2. Childcare Space Management:
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of childcare spaces.
- Ensure all supplies are regularly inspected for safety and cleared as needed.
- Monitor the cleanliness and functionality of the physical environment to provide a welcoming and secure space for children.
3. Childcare Services:
- Work alongside Childcare Workers to provide direct care for children.
- Facilitate age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and structured play.
- Maintain a nurturing and engaging atmosphere that supports the emotional and physical well-being of children.
