Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Transport residents to and from appointments and activities; both in town and out of town.
- Interacts with residents on a professional level and friendly manner throughout transport.
- Will not sleep during entire transport run.
- Might be required to transport paperwork containing resident information –must maintain HIPPA compliance.
- Must abide by all policies including (but not limited to): abuse/resident rights policy, infection control, dress code, and time and attendance policy.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Active CNA license preferred but not required.
- Must be physically able to provide assistance as needed and may not be on any type of physical restrictions.
- Chauffer’s license or For Hire Endorsement required.
- Customer service focused.
- Appropriate communication skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Computer skills.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to endure prolonged walking, sitting, standing, use of pulling, bending, and stooping movements.
- Ability to adapt to changes in daily work hoursand schedule.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift/carry a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to push/pull a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks which require arm-hand steadiness.
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time through duration of shift(s).
- Ability to squat, climb stairs, reach above shoulders, twist, bend,and kneel repeatedly through duration of shift(s).
- Ability to hear normal sounds within background noise.
- Ability to speak clearly and make self understood.
- Ability to keep attention on task if routinely interrupted.
- Ability to understand a variety of concepts/approaches.
- Ability to remember tasks/assignments for a full shift.
- Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled shift (overtime) when necessary.
Salary: $15.00 - $18.00/hr (based on skills, licensing and years of experience)
Shift Information: FT Day Shift - 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
