Description
The Machine Operator will operate, adjust, and make simple set ups on shear, punch, drill, saw, thread or similar machines from raw steel stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates basic machinery including coil-fed and punch presses.
- Must have ability to perform basic maintenance and can successfully change dies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Requires standing up to 10 hours per day
- Repetitive use of both hands up to 10 hours per day
- Constant awareness of surroundings
- Requires pushing/pulling/lifting (up to 50 lbs)
